Vision

cross windowWest County Community Church is surrendered to be a dynamic community of faith which is endeavoring to impact the world by experiencing, living, modeling, and communicating authentic faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Increasingly, our intention is to become fully:

  • A worshipping, caring and sharing community: Exalting the Savior

  • A learning community: Equipping the saints

  • An influential community: Evangelizing the world.

Our commitment to be —

A dynamic community of faith. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Hebrews 11:6) In Christ, we are such a people because we are His "new creations." (2 Corinthians 5:17) In Christ, He is constantly at work in us changing our attitudes. (2 Corinthians 5:18)

Our intentionality to become —

A dynamic community of faith endeavoring to impact the world by experiencing, living, modeling, and communicating authentic faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Galatians 5:16-25) In Christ, He is constantly at work in us changing our character. (2 Corinthians 5:20; Galatians 5:22-23) The dictionary defines "integrity" as "The state of being unimpaired; soundness; completeness; unity; honesty." Pastor and author Bill Hybels defines integrity/character as "what we do when no one is looking." WCCC Pastor Philip Hunter's definition? "From being 'many' persons to a Christ-controlled person."

Our purpose to do —

All we can in Christ to exalt the Savior, equip the saints and evangelize the world. In Christ, He is constantly changing us to do His will. (2 Corinthians 5:21) In Christ, as our attitude and character is transformed, His purpose (will), becomes our greatest pleasure. (John 8:29; Hebrews 11:25)

Conclusion: Understanding our salvation, how could we ever desire or expect less? (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
