Is Something Missing In Your Life?

God loves you and wants you to experience His peace, joy and love. God created us to know Him. By choosing to disobey Him and go our own willful way, we have been separated from His presence in our lives. Throughout history, individuals have tried in many ways, including good works and religion, to bridge this gap of separation. Yet they always find there’s something missing. That something is someone—Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin in bridging the gap between God and us. You can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ if you are willing to have the courage to:

1- Admit you are a sinner. “…for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God…”—Romans 3:23

2- Admit you need God’s mercy and love provided in Jesus. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”—Romans 5:8

3- Make the choice to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior as you trust His death on the cross for the payment of your sins. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from your selves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”—Ephesians 2:8-9

4- Turn from your way of living to His way of living—obedience to God’s Word. “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…”—Acts 3:19

Would you like to have your life filled with Jesus Christ so that you can have the comfort of God, the joy of forgiveness and the peace of mind that only the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, can give? If you answer is yes, read the following prayer and see if it says what you are feeling.

What to Pray…Dear God, thank you for loving me. I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross to pay for my sins. I want to turn from my sins to give You control of my life. I invite You, Lord Jesus, by the person of the Holy Spirit, to come into my life right now. Thank you God for salvation, eternal life and a new life in Jesus Christ. I commit my life to trust and follow You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

God’s Assurance…If you just made this prayer your commitment, on the authority of God’s Word you are a new person in Jesus Christ. Welcome to the family of God.
